Humankind has abused the many privileges we have enjoyed living on this beautiful planet Earth. We have called it ‘Mother Earth’ but our lack of affection and respect has demonstrated our weakness and we have become undeserving progeny. Only great goodness and effort towards constructive change can alter this. … now!
There are around 500,000 earthquakes each year. 100,000 of these can actually be felt.
The world’s deadliest recorded earthquake occurred in 1556 in central China. It struck a region where most people lived in caves carved from soft rock where dwellings collapsed during the earthquake, killing an estimated 830,000 people.
The largest earthquake ever recorded was a magnitude 9.5 in Chile on May 22, 1960.
We must ask ourselves what we humans have done to cause the Earth to become so angry as to behave in a manner that would no longer tolerate civilization as we have created it. We know our wrongdoing against Mother Earth and must feel guilt for destruction of forests, chemical pollutants and excessive mining and resource seeking. But our sins against nature are multiple and as fierce in their way as those shown by nature at present.

Reduction both in health and the populations of living creatures who depend upon the earth and its atmosphere are now obvious. The same degradation is seen although less obvious, in aquatic life and the fish and creatures of our oceans. We now must realise that we cannot do much to remedy the extinction of many species once abundant on our beautiful planet a few centuries ago. We must change our ways or earn our own possible extinction.
There have been many scientists and philosophers over the last couple of centuries who have proposed ‘lateral’ ideas about using the abundant wealth of seawater as the source from which we ‘mine’ and withdraw the minerals and elements we need or want. There is irrefutable evidence from prominent medical researchers, showing this chemical that is sufficiently toxic as to have asserted its place as a rat poison, is also harmful to humans when ingested. In spite of this, fluoride not only continues to be used in many chemical and even pharmaceutical products but has for decades been deliberately pumped into our Australian public water supplies in spite of extensive demonstrations of objection by groups and individuals.
