Muslim Values – Contrary to our Own
Not many of us who have no direct link with people of this religion and outlook on life, really understand why there is real need for us to maintain an alert attitude, not only in dealing with militant terrorists, but in warding off aggressive ideas associated with the Muslim ideologies.
It is not a case of us judging individuals but of using our discrimination in determining the realities of the thought processes that are inherent in those who choose to subject themselves to Sharia law as Christians do the Commandments. Sharia law is the system based upon the commands of the Koran and is supported by Hadith that is comprised of the interpretations of the teachings of Mohammed.
The tenets seem very strong to us when we read black and white statements from the Koran. For example:
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah.. And the Jews say Ezra is the son of God; and the Christians say Christ is the son of God; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; Allah’s curse be on them; how they are turned away!” (Koran 9:29-30)
“ And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religious should be only for Allah. (8:39)
- “Fight them: Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace, and assist you against them.” (9:14)
The teachings clearly describe themselves as ‘the chosen people’ of Muslim faith with all other people seen as ‘infidels”. There seems no evidence of an all embracing Love that binds us as a humanity. There is no benign Beneficence that presides as the Creator. In its place is a violent consciousness urging followers to assume the role as aggressors in order to establish world-wide domination with no moral or ethical stance to inhibit their grasp for absolute power.
With the astonishing increase in those adopting the Islamic way and the increased wealth that allows works of terrorism to be pursued, the wonder is that we are not more concerned in defending our culture and our own principles and our values that are threatened.
Muslim immigrants who are committed to the aggressive role interblend with genuine new settlers. In Australia we now have 500,000 approx. who have been generously accepted by the government of our people that aids them to settle and benefit by the conditions we offer with the terms of agreement – simply to integrate and contribute in a positive manner and be loyal to our nation. It appears we are lax in our conditions and our generous attitude.
All newcomers do not seek to learn the language, blend in with our way of life and commit to living by our system of law. In fact there is a strong Muslim drive to have Sharia law embraced within our system as an alternative legal process contrary to our Australian law. This is entirely unacceptable, as is every effort to create a separate nation within our own. As in the past, any such attempt should be judged as in the past, as the action of a traitor and earn an appropriate penalty.
It is our own fault that we did not exact the normal, rational disciplines and conditions attendant to seeking citizenship in a new country. We allowed an alien influence to take root and grow to prominence as it has done in other countries over the recent decade. The instruments of the violent Islamics who have intent to harm us, are people without faces. They are an invisible enemy in our community.
Surely this is a time to take a strong stand before we succumb to the insipid attitudes of the ‘politically correct’ and allow our strength of commitment and appreciation of our wonderful country to protect it by demonstrating confident leadership and determination to act by addressing the associated issues.
