Violent Earth Changes
There have been dramatic events long anticipated to occur in our present era.
For a considerable period natural cataclysms have been relatively moderate but now the predictions that foretell of very violent occurrences are becoming generally accepted as being a likely happening over the next decades.
It is essential that we help out those who are directly affected by the unusual or violent storms, floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and tsunamis that are happening and no doubt will continue. But assistance in local areas is relied upon and often unfortunately comes too late from outside. In other cases the rest of the world may be forced to observe from afar only to make contribution by money and goods to assist and trust that distribution is satisfactory to those in urgent need.
Against the great natural occurrences that prove a disaster to people, animals and wildlife, towns and cities we are forced to realise our impotence against destructive forces of nature against which we cannot defend ourselves.
What is proving a very serious situation is destruction by water and the flooding in China and the Mississippi and Missouri zones is still a very severe threat that has already hurt thousands and caused destruction of crops and property. To have too much water in some places is a bitter situation for those in the drought ridden areas such as the desert countries and arid regions where it is the opposite and where nature is cruel and with-holds any rain or water relief.
With mammoth events that occur all over the world from time to time, we are now aware of global events happening with increasing regularity. The recording of storms, floods, fires has a reduced status beside the accelerating tornado, volcano and earthquake disasters being added. We know that what follows is inevitably food shortages, poverty and disease.
We must ask ourselves what we humans have done to cause the Earth to become so angry as to behave in a manner that would no longer tolerate civilization as we have created it. We know our wrongdoing against Mother Earth and must feel guilt for destruction of forests, chemical pollutants and excessive mining and resource seeking. But our sins against nature are multiple and as fierce in their way as those shown by nature at present.
It is surely time to get back to the simple, nobler options in human lifestyle and care for our own in need but also to renew our friendship with the Earth itself by demonstrating our wish to gently restore our relationship by adopting true values …. that is, if we have time…..
